Summer is around the corner, but for some of us, we are already basking in the sun and having fun. With every season, the need for one product decreases while the need for another increase. Today I will be sharing with you some of the best beauty products to keep close this summer based on my opinions and reviews from others.
1. Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen
With a 4.5 rating based off of 1,156 Amazon users and formulated for sensitive skin, it’s hard to find a fault. Its SPF is 30+ and has 5% titanium dioxide and 10% zinc oxide, which are ideal percentages. If you want a great sunscreen, this is for you.
2. Maybelline New York Great Lash Waterproof Mascara
This is one of my favourite mascaras on the market. I prefer the ‘Lash Lots of Lashes’ version though. Some say that it is very clumpy and smudges a lot. Personally, I have never had a problem with this mascara, give it a try!
3. Blistex Blissful Butters
Blistex is a trusted brand by my mom and I. My mother introduced me to it (shout out to her). I’ve had their super moisturising, mango and berry flavoured lips balms in the past. Their new flavour, Blissful Butters, has proven its worth compared to its elders. It is super creamy and smooth and has a SPF of 15. This is a must buy.
4. Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer
I think everyone involved in the beauty world as heard of Laura Mercier. They have the best loose powder known to man as claimed by the beauty experts. I have personally never used anything from this brand but I have heard a lot of good reviews. Their tinted moisturiser seems to be another widely recommended product. Its oil-free formula is great for those prone to acne while providing UV protection.
5. Real Techniques Miracle Sponge
This sponge is amazing. I never got the hype that surrounded it. Once I tried it for myself; I fell in love. The sponge itself is mushy and soft, perfect for your face. Its blending is superb. Your foundation, concealer or any liquid/cream products blend effortlessly with this sponge. If you’re looking for an inexpensive alternative to the original beauty blender, this is definitely for you.
6. BH Cosmetics Eighty-Eight Color Eyeshadow Palettes
This matte palette is not only essential for summer. It should be a staple if you like creating colourful eye looks. The colours range from light to dark and dull to bright. It is perfect for creating a smoky eye to a tropical paradise on your eyelids. The best part? It’s vegan and paraben free! You should definitely check out this palette and for a limited time, you can get it for $8!
7. Sinful Colors Island Corals
A beautiful coral colour, but is on the darker side. It is perfect for summer and would look great with glowing, tanned skin!
8. L.A. Girl Shady Slim Brow Pencil
An inexpensive pencil that will leave you amazed. When I bought this, I was hoping to find a pencil that would require a minimal effort. This did not disappoint. It has a somewhat creamy formula. If you want to feel like a pencil and pomade had a child, then this is for you.
